What is Anadrol 50?
Anadrol 50 Oxymetholone is a synthetic androgenic or anabolic male hormone that is used to treat any low red-blood cell count that is called anemia. It starts working when it enters the blood stream to increase the amount of a hormone called erythropoietin which is directly involved in all red blood cell production. Bodybuilders claim that Anadrol 50 is great for gaining body weight and building muscle size.
Because of the publically printed life-threatening range of side effects, this medication should never be used to help improve your athletic performance or your physical appearance.
Anadrol 50 Side Effects
The long-term use using Anadrol 50 or oxymetholone will cause liver tumors and blood-filled cysts found in your spleen and your liver. But side-effects mentioned above also include:
Nausea, and upper stomach pain
Rapid weight gains in your midsection and your face
Loss of appetite, with dark urine and clay-colored stools or jaundice (yellowing skin or eyes).
Increased libido, or painful and ongoing erection of penis
Loss of impotence, trouble having orgasm, decreased amount semen when ejaculating
Easy to bruise or bleeding (nosebleeds or bleeding gums)
Painful swelling of your breasts
Shortness of breath (with mild exertion), swelling of hands or feet. Women may develop some male features, which will be irreversible if your treatment is continued.
Hoarse voice or deepened voice
Increased facial hair and hair growth on your chest
Male pattern baldness
Enlarged clitoris for women
Changes in menstrual periods or an increase or decreased interest in sex.
Other side effects from taking Anadrol 50 or oxymetholone include:
Acne
Feeling restless or very excited
Sleep problems (insomnia) or vomiting, and nausea and diarrhea.
It should be noted that cardiovascular side effects include fluid retention. Edema, without any congestive heart failure, often occurs during any anabolic steroid therapy.
Genitourinary effects like oligospermia and having decreased ejaculatory volume have been noted and some elderly male patients will experience prostatic enlargement that causes urinary obstruction. Priapism and its excessive stimulation can also develop. Female patients develop virilization, which includes a deepening of your voice, hirsutism, clitomegaly (not reversible), a few menstrual abnormalities and acne.
Hepatic tumors that have been associated with taking anabolic steroids will be more vascular than any other type of hepatic tumors, it will often just remain silent until a life-threatening abdominal hemorrhage results. Peliosis hepatitis may also present as a mild liver dysfunction, but it has to date never resulted in any liver failure.
